  I think Doug has got us started on the right track with the GB... & it's Achille's heel...

  Perhaps we should just quote David Splane when ever we hear something weird... 'Only the truly annointed can translate the Bible accurately'

  Each creative day.... 7,000 years long... ?

  It's the Creator's promise that we'll see the end before the end of this century (2,000) ?

  a friend of mine asked, "do you recall a watchtower or km that said the jw's are not suppose to read, or post information in defense of the watchtower on their own personal website or anyone elses website?".

  of course, there is the july 15, 2011 watchtower: what is involved in avoiding false teachers?

  we do not receive them into our homes or greet them.

  Good catch, Cold As Steel:

  Any intelligent person could most likely spot an anti-JW site inside of 5 or 10 minutes and could simply bail out if they wished. But whose welfare is the Governing Body most concerned about? And do they make it a disciplinary issue when one reads the religious tracts of other religions? Isn't the greatest of all God's principles that of free agency? Of choosing good over evil?

  Exactly!!! Why would God let Adam & Eve see, or give them, the "tree" if he didn't want to give them a choice!?!

  At least the "Jerusalem above is free"......

  ... and "she" is our mother haha!

  if a pedophile has cried before the body of elders, is it possible he can be trusted to watch over the sheep and be a valuable tool against satan's hateful apostates?

  nobody is stepping up to the plate to fill the positions of ministerial servant and elder, using pedophiles might take the load off the four elder congregations and give personal needed shepherding calls to single mothers.

  I looked up the defintion of an apostate and found a possible tactic in talking to a JW.

  because simply converting reigions or changing one's beliefs makes one an apostate by defintion.. just though i would bring that up..

  just wanted to introduce myself.

  i've made a few comments here and there on the lovely jwn i started to wake up to ttatt this year.

  basically, i'm a born in jw and was baptized at 16. lived a double life until i wa 25 and beat myself up about it constantly.

  I have felt this more and more and moreas time goes on.

  You can't get to God, you can't have a relationship with Jesus,

  (don't forget, no "mediatior") withOUT the GB.

  i may be suffering twice for having left the jehovah's witnesses and watching my jw wife and other family members stay in.

  once for the changed situation (or loss) and another time for expecting to make progress in getting over it.. the 1969 book on death and dying by elisabeth kubler-ross introduced us to the kubler-ross model , commonly referred to as the " five stages of grief.

  " they are very helpful, but the original idea of the book and the hypothesis was that when a person is faced with the reality of impending death , he or she will experience a series of emotional stages: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.. it isn't always the case, but those stages are often felt by terminally ill patients.
